Honestly, at this point I think it’s pretty well established that the Oscars are going to overlook handfuls of artists who truly deserve recognition each and every year. Not only that, but it’s also an exceedingly subjective discussion in the first place. The snubs are obviously here like Swinton, Fassbender, Brooks, and even Serkis to an extent, but it’s the Oscars and I will always watch them.

I just started my blog and reviewed this very episode as my first post. I completely agree with your statement on how Walt’s actions have impacted the lives of everyone around him. However, I do feel that Walt has not only awakened a side of himself that was always there but has also awakened the “bad” side of others. Skyler, for example, has melted a little to comfortably into this new lifestyle. So much so that it makes me think that side of her has always been there and her inclusion in Walt’s drug manufactoring was simply a trigger. Jesse is the only character who I feel is really being influenced in a negative way. Before meeting Walter I don’t think Jesse would have ever have the stones to do the things he’s doing now.
