The headline pretty much says it all, but if Bloc Party’s unusually long hiatus is getting you down have faith, appreciator of jittery, English club rock, because relief is on the way. Kele Okereke announced that he’s putting out a solo record on June 21 called The Boxer. Stereogum has all the details, including a tracklist and a tour itenary (all Europe for now). Personally, like Michael said about Broken Bells, I’d be way more excited for this if it was happening in 2006, but it should still be worth checking out.
