I’d be glad to see more of it. I’m also digging the risk they’re taking with inserting musical numbers–starting within a performance context (“You Just Got Slapped”), then with a fantasy sequence (“Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit”), and now weaving into the fabric of the real world narrative (“Superdate”). But no more this season, I hope–it’ll lose that zest and surprise. Fingers crossed to see Marshall get a real book number–and that Lily never does (lest we revisit her work in “Once More, With Feeling”).
