Mark Linkous, the singer-songwriter who recorded under the name Sparklehorse, committed suicide yesterday. He released four albums between 1995 and 2006, was working on a fifth, and also had a collaboration with Danger Mouse that was nearing release (after being postponed by the label). Linkous was 47. New York Times’ Arts Beat and Pitchfork have more.
