Bright Eyes Returns!

Since 2007′s Cassadaga, Connor Oberst hasn’t done too much with the Bright Eyes moniker, instead recording as himself with the Mystic Valley Band and with supergroup the Monsters of Folk. Last year, he talked about doing one last Bright Eyes record and then retiring the name. Before that happens though, Oberst has a little something else as Bright Eyes. On March 23, Saddle Creek will reissue the One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels EP Bright Eyes did with Neva Dinova in 2004. For the reissue, the two bands have recorded four new songs together. It marks the first new Bright Eyes material in three years. Excited?

well yeah, im pretty excited. I wrote something about bright eyes, and how everyone I know hates them.

its on my website, the truth is Conner Oberst is one of the best lyricist of our generation. Nice pick of Conner by the way. I have seen them about eight times. I also find that there best album is still fevers and mirrors, but of course that is debatable. Now I think im going to check out your site.

  2. I have yet to see Bright Eyes live, last time they were destined for the UK they cancelled and have yet to return. I have my fingers crossed!

  3. Dude, I love Bright Eyes, so much and I’m so glad there getting back on it for one album. Love the blog by the way. Check my blog out, it’s littered with bright eyes songs and quotes. ttp://drunkonplanes.wordpress.com/

  4. I am realllly excited right now. I’ve been listening to bright eyes for a few years, and some of their music is soooooooo good. Like some of you have said, Connor’s lyrics are great! It’s a little bit more upbeat than bright eyes, but take a look into I’m From Barcelona, they’re great as well, a couple recommendations being “This Boy”, “Ophelia”, and “Oversleeping” just for starters. Hope you enjoy!
