Wyclef Jean and George Clooney have put together a star-studded telethon Hope for Haiti this Friday, January 22, at 8pm EST. The commercial free telethon will be simulcast on all four networks as well as CNN, MTV, HBO, BET, VH1, CMT, and the CW. All of the proceeds raised from the telethon will be divided among Oxfam America, Partners in Health, Red Cross, UNICEF and Wyclef’s Yele Haiti Foundation. Wyclef will host the telethon from New York, with Clooney in Los Angeles, and CNN’s Anderson Cooper in Haiti. There is no word yet on who else will be featured, but you should tune in regardless. If you haven’t yet made a donation, TUIW urges you to click the link for any of the earlier mentioned organizations or text HAITI to 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross.
