UPDATE: Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse has posted on his Twitter that the speech will not conflict with lost. Hooray!
Lost fans are a pretty patient group. It’s been a long 9 months since we saw Juliet set off the bomb. Everyone is dying to find out what happened. Except Barack Obama. According to a couple of sources, the Obama Camp has chosen either January 26 (also the premiere of American Idol) or February 2, International Lost Day. Should he pick the latter date, Lost would be pushed back another week to February 9. Now, I know it’s only a week, and sure, the State of the Union is a very big deal, but come on man! Get in the way of American Idol! We all know what’s going to happen on that show! [Spoiler Alert!] People are going to sing really poorly in the first few episodes, except for a few, Simon’s going to make fun of people and we’ll all be inspired that dreams come true. Sorry to ruin it for you Idol fans (did that without watching an episode in my life). Anyway, rant aside, a Twitter campaign has been started by some Lost fans called #NoStateOfUnionFeb2. Give it a try. (P.S. We’re big Obama people too here at TUIW) Thanks to reader Chris H. for the tip!
