Its a little known fact that, before becoming successful composers for both feature films and trailers, The Arcade Fire used to be a rock band. And, if Billboard is correct, they may be returning to their roots:
The Arcade Fire…is nearing completion of its as-yet-untitled third album…[the record is] currently on track for a May release
Looks like, after a long artistic hiatus, The Arcade Fire decided to Wake Up. Maybe they felt the Cold Wind. Not only that, but there’s a potential tour coming to your Neighborhood…#4…7 Kettles (its been a long day):
Billboard sources say the album will be preceded by a single release earlier in 2010. The band is weighing multiple offers for live shows in the spring, and will likely take a top slot at one or more of the major North American summer festivals.
I’ll tell you what, between the new Spoon, Beach House, Ted Leo, LCD Soundsystem, Los Campesinos!, and now this, 2010 isn’t looking too shabby.
I can’t wait.
