I’m a few episodes behind on Parks and Recreation, but even without getting to the much-lauded “Ron & Tammy” I think that its been easily the best of the four shows on NBC’s schedule and one of the best of the year. So its too bad that they’ve decided to throw all that away and cast no-talent hack Will Arnett, just because he’s sleeping with the star:
An NBC spokesperson confirms that Arnett will guest star opposite real-life wife, Amy Poehler, on her creatively-resurgent comedy in early 2010. He’ll play a possible suitor for Poehler’s character, Leslie.
All kidding aside, given the way Parks and Recreation handled its last big comedy guest star (the awesome Louis C.K.) and Arnett’s talent for matching the energy of a show (see his guest appearances on 30 Rock and Human Giant), this has all kinds of potential.
